Most nationalities need a Tanzanian tourist visa (USD 50, or USD 100 for US passport holders). Apply online or obtain on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry.
Comprehensive travel insurance with medical evacuation cover is mandatory. We recommend policies that cover camera gear and remote game drives. AMREF Flying Doctors air evacuation cover is included for peace of mind.
Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if travelling from a country with yellow fever risk. Anti-malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended. Consult a travel clinic 6–8 weeks before departure for the latest advice.
Every photographer has a window seat. The vehicle is fitted with a camera mount, charging ports, and a pop-up roof for standing shots. The specialist guide adjusts position and timing to suit the best light and animal behaviour.
