By confirming a booking with us, the lead traveler and all members of the group acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to the Terms & Conditions outlined below.
Bush Lion Tours is a Tanzania-based tour operator, legally registered and operating under the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
A booking is confirmed once the client receives written confirmation (email, invoice, or voucher) from Bush Lion Tours. The confirmed itinerary, together with these Terms & Conditions, forms the agreement between Bush Lion Tours and the client.
All payments must be made in cash (USD) by the group leader upon arrival in Tanzania, unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance. Only USD notes issued from 2010 onwards are accepted. Notes must be clean, untorn, unstamped, and not damaged. Failure to comply with the payment terms may result in cancellation of services without compensation.
All prices are based on current park fees, accommodation rates, fuel costs, and government taxes at the time of quotation. Bush Lion Tours reserves the right to adjust prices if unavoidable changes occur, including but not limited to: • Government tax or park fee increases • Fuel price increases • Changes in supplier rates Any such changes will be communicated clearly to the client.
Bush Lion Tours reserves the right to modify the itinerary due to weather conditions, road conditions, park regulations, safety considerations, or other circumstances beyond our control. Any changes will always be made in the best interest of the client and with comparable services where possible.
6.1 Cancellation by the Client
• More than 30 days before arrival: cancellation terms depend on confirmed services and supplier policies.
• 0–30 days before arrival: cancellation may result in partial or full charges.
6.2 Cancellation by Bush Lion Tours
Bush Lion Tours reserves the right to cancel a trip due to force majeure, safety concerns, failure of the client to comply with payment terms, or insufficient participants for group tours. In such cases, reasonable alternatives or refunds will be offered where possible.
• Group tours operate with a minimum number of participants.
• If the minimum number is not reached, clients may be offered an alternative date or a private safari at adjusted cost.
• Participants are expected to respect group schedules, guides, and fellow travelers.
Accommodation is provided as stated in the confirmed itinerary. Optional services such as private toilets, extra nights, special equipment, or upgrades can be arranged at an additional cost, if requested in advance.
Clients must: • Follow guide instructions and safety rules at all times • Respect national park regulations and local laws • Behave responsibly toward wildlife, staff, and other travelers
Bush Lion Tours is not responsible for incidents resulting from a client’s failure to follow instructions.
• Clients must have valid travel and medical insurance, including evacuation coverage.
• Any medical conditions or special requirements must be declared at the time of booking.
• Bush Lion Tours reserves the right to decline a booking if specific needs cannot be safely accommodated.
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, visas, and vaccination certificates required for entry into Tanzania. Bush Lion Tours is not liable for issues arising from incomplete or invalid travel documents.
Clients are responsible for their personal belongings at all times. Bush Lion Tours is not liable for loss or damage to personal items during the trip.
Safari travel involves inherent risks, including wildlife encounters, rough terrain, weather conditions, and limited infrastructure. By booking with Bush Lion Tours, clients acknowledge and accept these risks. Bush Lion Tours’ liability is limited to the value of the services booked and does not extend to indirect or consequential losses.
Bush Lion Tours shall not be held liable for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, strikes, or flight disruptions.
Any complaints must be reported immediately during the trip so they can be addressed on the spot. Written complaints should be submitted within 14 days after the end of the trip.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall fall under Tanzanian jurisdiction.
