The 3 Days Quick Big Five Safari is our most popular short safari for travellers who want a genuine Big Five experience without committing to a full-week itinerary. In just three days, you visit two of Tanzania's most spectacular wildlife destinations — Tarangire National Park, home to the largest elephant herds in East Africa, and the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the single best place on the continent to see black rhino in the wild.
After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive south towards Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 hours). Afternoon game drive through Tarangire's iconic baobab-studded landscapes.
Depart Tarangire and drive northwest to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 metres to the crater floor for a full-day game drive exploring grassland, lakes, and forest habitats.
Final morning game drive en route, drive back to Arusha, then continue to Moshi for an overnight stay.
Everything you need for a seamless journey — and a clear view of what to arrange yourself.
