Moshi to Mkomazi National Park — Rhino Sanctuary & Wild Dogs
Depart Moshi early in the morning for the scenic drive to Mkomazi National Park (approximately 3.5 hours, 170 km). Upon arrival, begin your game drive through the park diverse landscapes. Mkomazi is famous for its endangered black rhino conservation programme — visit the Rhino Sanctuary to see these critically endangered animals up close. Then visit the Wild Dog breeding centre where rare African wild dogs are being protected and bred for reintroduction. The park is also home to elephants, giraffes, zebras, oryx, lesser kudu, gerenuk, and over 400 bird species. Enjoy a packed picnic lunch in the park while watching wildlife. After a full day of exploration, drive back to Moshi arriving in the evening.
