4-Day Fly-in Zanzibar to Northern Circuit Safari — Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Tarangire

Spend the entire day exploring the legendary Serengeti National Park. Start at sunrise to catch predators while they are still active. The Serengeti boasts an abundance of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and crocodiles. The park is also a paradise for bird lovers with over 500 species. Midday is a slow picnic in the shade of an acacia. In the afternoon, search the riverine fig trees for leopards and the kopjes for resting prides. Every day in the Serengeti is different.

After breakfast, enjoy a transfer game drive from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater, with approximately 3 hours of wildlife viewing along the way. Around 10:00 am, descend 610 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater — a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend approximately 5 hours exploring the crater floor, home to over 25,000 animals including the endangered black rhino, large lion prides, elephants, flamingos, and more than 500 bird species. After an unforgettable day, ascend the crater wall and drive to your lodge.

After breakfast, drive approximately 90 minutes to Tarangire National Park — famous for its large elephant herds and iconic ancient baobab trees. In the dry season, herds of up to 250 elephants gather along the Tarangire River. Explore seasonal swamps, savannah landscapes, and spot giraffes, zebras, lions, leopards, and elephants. Around noon, exit the park and drive to Arusha Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar. Your driver will be waiting at Zanzibar Airport to take you back to your hotel.
