3-Day Nyerere (Selous) Fly-In Safari from Zanzibar — Boat Safari & Walking Safari

After a full breakfast, drive into the vast Nyerere National Park for a full day of game viewing across its diverse and undisturbed wilderness. The park is home to large numbers of elephant and buffalo, prides of lion, giraffe, zebra and impala, and is well known for its population of the rare African wild dog. Nyerere is one of the largest protected wildlife areas in Africa with far fewer visitors than the Serengeti or Ngorongoro. Enjoy a picnic lunch from a safe vantage point while scanning for wildlife, then continue the afternoon game drive. Return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early morning cup of tea, head into the reserve for a guided walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger. Walking allows you to explore the park varied vegetation zones from dense thickets to open wooded grasslands, read the signs of wildlife around you, and experience the bush in a fundamentally different way from a vehicle. Return to camp for a full breakfast, then check out and transfer to Mtemere Airstrip for your morning flight back to Zanzibar.
