Fly from Zanzibar to Northern Serengeti

After breakfast, transfer from your Zanzibar hotel to Zanzibar Airport for your scheduled flight to Kogatende Airstrip in Northern Serengeti. The flight offers stunning aerial views. Upon landing at 11:00 am, your private safari vehicle will be waiting. Drive straight to the Mara River to witness the Great Migration crossing. Wildebeest pile up on the banks, hesitate, then plunge into the crocodile-infested waters. On the other side, lions, hyenas, and cheetahs wait. This is the greatest wildlife spectacle on Earth. After a thrilling day, return to your mobile migration camp for dinner.

Full Day Mara River Crossing Game Drive

Start at sunrise with a full-day game drive exploring the stunning Northern Serengeti. The Mara River crossing is your main focus, but the region offers much more. Lions on kopjes, elephants in the Mara woodland, and very few other vehicles. Over 500 bird species inhabit the area. Your guide will position you at the best crossing points, waiting for the dramatic moment when the herds decide to cross. Between crossings, explore the Lamai Wedge and enjoy picnic breakfasts in the bush.
