6 Days Marangu Route

The 6 Days Marangu Route on Mount Kilimanjaro is a perfect choice for climbers who want comfort, safety, and a higher summit success rate. Known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” Marangu is the only route that offers mountain hut accommodation instead of camping. This makes it very popular among European travelers looking for a more comfortable trekking experience in Africa.

Starting from the eastern side of the mountain at Marangu Gate, the trail takes you through green rainforest, open moorland, alpine desert, and finally to the snow-capped summit at Uhuru Peak, 5,895 meters above sea level — the highest point in Africa.

With an extra acclimatization day at Horombo Hut, this 6-day itinerary gives your body more time to adjust to the altitude, increasing your chances of reaching the summit safely and successfully.
