5 Days Serengeti Big Five Adventure in Tanzania

Your safari begins after breakfast in Arusha. Drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a full-day game drive where you can see lions, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes near the Tarangire River. Later in the evening, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge or similar mid-range lodge.

After breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro highlands and enter the Serengeti National Park, the heart of Africa’s wildlife. Enjoy an afternoon game drive across the golden plains, watching for big cats, elephants, and wildebeests. Wake up early for a sunrise game drive to spot predators like lions and leopards in action. Spend the entire day exploring different parts of Serengeti, including the Seronera Valley, famous for its wildlife density. Picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your adventure. Return to your lodge in the evening for a warm dinner and rest under the stars. Overnight again at Tanzania Bush Camp or Into Wild Africa Camp.

After breakfast, enjoy a short game drive as you leave Serengeti and drive toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Visit the Olduvai Gorge, known as the cradle of mankind, before continuing to your lodge for dinner and rest. Overnight at Rhino Lodge or Ngorongoro Tortilis Camp, both offering incredible crater views.

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the famous Ngorongoro Crater, home to over 25,000 animals including lions, elephants, hippos, and endangered black rhinos. Enjoy a final game drive and lunch inside the crater before returning to Arusha in the evening — marking the end of your unforgettable 5 Days Serengeti Big Five Adventure.
