The 4 Days Classic Big Five Safari in Tanzania gives you the best chance to see Africa’s most famous wildlife (lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and rhinos) all in their natural home. This safari takes you to Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater, which are among the best places in Africa to spot the Big Five.
You will enjoy game drives across wide plains, witness beautiful sunsets, and sleep in mid-range tented lodges close to nature. The safari is perfect for those who want a short but unforgettable wildlife adventure.
Your safari starts from Arusha in the morning after breakfast. Drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. The park is also home to lions, giraffes, zebras, and many bird species. You will enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park. In the evening, drive to Marera Valley Lodge (or similar mid-range tented lodge) for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive across the highlands to Serengeti National Park, one of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the endless plains where you can see lions resting under acacia trees, leopards hiding on branches, and buffalo grazing. During the migration season, you may also see thousands of wildebeest and zebras moving together. Overnight at Into Wild Africa Tented Camp.
Early morning game drive in Serengeti to catch predators in action before sunrise. Later, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a stop at the Olduvai Gorge viewpoint. You will reach your lodge at the crater rim in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Rhino Lodge or Ngorongoro Tortilis Camp, enjoying the cool mountain air and breathtaking views.
After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. The crater floor is home to over 25,000 animals, including rhinos, elephants, lions, and hippos. Enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch near the lake before driving back to Arusha in the afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable 4 Days Big Five Safari.
All lodges are mid-range tented camps offering private bathrooms, delicious meals, and warm hospitality:
This safari focuses on the Big Five experience, giving you the chance to see all major wildlife species in just four days. The mix of landscapes from Tarangire’s baobabs to Serengeti’s plains and Ngorongoro’s crater makes every day unique.
