Join us for a beautiful day trip to Materuni Waterfalls and Coffee Tour, located near Moshi, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. This tour is perfect for those who want to enjoy nature, learn about local culture, and experience the fresh taste of local Chagga coffee.
Materuni village is home to the Chagga people, known for their warm hospitality and strong coffee traditions. You will walk through lush green paths, see how coffee is made from bean to cup, and enjoy a short hike to the stunning Materuni Waterfall one of the tallest waterfalls at the base of Kilimanjaro.
This is a great tour for solo travelers, families, or groups who want to explore Tanzania beyond the wildlife safari.
We will pick you up from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha in the morning and drive to Materuni village. The drive from Moshi takes about 45 minutes, and from Arusha about 2 hours.
Upon arrival, your local guide will welcome you and start the coffee tour. You will learn how to pick, roast, grind, and make your own cup of coffee the traditional way while singing and dancing with the locals!
After the coffee tour, you will take a short hike through banana and avocado farms to reach the Materuni Waterfall. The hike takes about 45 minutes. Once there, you can relax, take photos, or even swim in the natural pool (if the weather is good).
You will enjoy a hot local lunch prepared by the villagers. Vegetarian options are available.
After lunch and relaxing, we will drive you back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha.
