Popular layover points include Amsterdam, Istanbul, Doha, Zurich, or Frankfurt. From these cities, daily flights take you directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport, making the final leg of your journey short and convenient.
One of the most popular options for travelers from the USA is to fly with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines through Amsterdam. This route is reliable and connects smoothly to Kilimanjaro. Other airlines such as Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, and Delta (with codeshare partners) also offer excellent routes. For example, you can fly from New York to Doha with Qatar Airways and then continue directly to Kilimanjaro, or fly with Turkish Airlines via Istanbul. After landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you are already close to the mountain.
