Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park – Afternoon Boat Safari

You will be picked up early in the morning from Dar es Salaam and begin your scenic journey to Nyerere National Park. The drive takes approximately 6 hours through local villages and beautiful landscapes.

Upon arrival at your lodge or tented camp, you will have lunch and some time to relax before heading out on a boat safari along the Rufiji River. This is one of the highlights of Nyerere, giving you the chance to:

  • See hippos and crocodiles up close

  • Watch elephants, giraffes, and buffalo come to drink water
