Most nationalities need a visa. Visa on arrival available at airports ($50 USD for US citizens, $100 for others). Alternatively, apply online via visa.immigration.go.tz before travel.
Yellow Fever certificate required if coming from endemic countries. Recommended: Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, Tetanus. Malaria prophylaxis advised — consult your doctor.
Tanzanian Shilling (TZS) is local currency. USD widely accepted for safari payments (bills must be printed after 2009). ATMs available in Moshi & Arusha.
Swahili is the national language. English is widely spoken in tourist areas. All our guides speak fluent English. French & German available on request.
Tanzania is one of Africa's safest destinations. Moshi & Arusha are tourist-friendly cities. We provide 24/7 support and AMREF evacuation cover on all trips.
