Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Tanzania
Upon your arrival in Arusha, you will be met by our team and transferred to your hotel. Take some time to relax and prepare for your adventure ahead. Our guide will brief you about the climb and ensure you are well-prepared. Overnight at the hotel in Arusha.
Day 1: Arusha to Momella Gate – Miriakamba Hut
Your adventure begins with a drive from Arusha to Momella Gate, the starting point of your climb. After registration, you will start your ascent through the lush forest where you might spot buffalo, giraffe, and other wildlife. The trail winds through beautiful landscapes with views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. Arrive at Miriakamba Hut for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut
After a hearty breakfast, the journey continues from Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut. The trail becomes steeper, but the rewarding views make it worth the effort. Enjoy panoramic vistas of Meru Crater and the Ash Cone as you ascend through moorlands and open grasslands. Upon reaching Saddle Hut, relax and prepare for the summit attempt.
Day 3: Saddle Hut to Summit – Back to Miriakamba Hut
Wake up at midnight for a challenging summit trek under the starlit sky. The trail to Socialist Peak is demanding, but reaching the summit at dawn is truly breathtaking. Witness the stunning sunrise over Kilimanjaro and the entire Arusha National Park. After celebrating your success, descend back to Saddle Hut for brunch before continuing to Miriakamba Hut for your last night on the mountain.
Day 4: Miriakamba Hut to Momella Gate – Back to Arusha
After breakfast, start your descent to Momella Gate while enjoying the final glimpses of Mount Meru and the diverse flora and fauna. At the gate, you will receive your certificate of achievement before returning to Arusha for a well-deserved rest.
Departure Day
After a good rest in Arusha, it’s time to say goodbye. Our team will transfer you to the airport for your onward journey or continue with your next adventure in Tanzania.
